The Klein Oak Band Association (KOBA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the support of the Klein Oak High School Band program. Founded in 2008, KOBA is a volunteer organization of parents, family members, and community members who are committed to providing financial and moral support to the Klein Oak Band program. Through fundraising activities, KOBA provides financial support for the purchase of instruments, music, supplies, and uniforms. In addition, KOBA provides support for the band program's performance and travel needs. KOBA also provides scholarships for graduating senior band members and assists with the band's summer camp expenses. The Klein Oak Band Association is committed to ensuring that the band program has the necessary resources to continue to provide a quality musical education to the students of Klein Oak High School.

Lead monthly Board meetings and three annual general membership meetings.

Meet with directors regarding needs of the band program and agenda items for KOBA meetings.

Attend two annual meetings with KISD officials regarding rules, regulations, procedures for Booster Clubs.

Responsible for completing and filing forms required by KISD.

Assist as needed with KOBA projects.

In the absence of the President, lead monthly board meetings and three general membership meetings.

Assist the President in tracking progress of committee chairpersons on delegated tasks.

Chair the nominating committee.

Assist as needed with KOBA projects.

Assist directors with planning and execution of spring trips as needed.

Assist color guard director in planning and executing projects that are Color Guard specific.

Assist color guard director in planning and executing Winter Guard activities, including any trips and competitions

Organize volunteers to help in producing flags and equipment needed by the Color Guard.

Assist as needed with other KOBA projects.

Collect and record payment of band and color guard fees.

Provide information to accountant for filing annual tax return.

Attend annual meeting with KISD officials regarding financial regulations and procedures for Booster clubs.

Assist with duties of the treasurer as agreed upon with the treasurer.

Attend all Board meetings and general membership meetings.

Record minutes of meetings, and distribute to general membership.

Execute any other correspondence necessary to the business of KOBA.

Administer the Flag program, including marketing and organizing flag distribution and collection.

Coordinate sales of personal ads with other Klein Oak clubs and organizations.

Chair a committee that selects prepares, sells, and promotes band and school spirit items.

Select and order merchandise that promotes school spirit and publicizes the band.

Coordinate sales of spirit items at opening of school events, football games, KOBA meetings.

Solicit corporate sponsorships for the band

Coordinate volunteers to attend marching band rehearsals and give assistance to students in need of relief from heat related or other medical/first aid issues.
